I find Zizek incredibly fun to read and am tending toward psychoanalysis as an approach to literature. A particular academic interest of mine that seems especially relevant to this event is Shakespeare and new media. Primarily, I have not found studying Shakespeare in less narrative mediums (e.g. gaming, YouTube) as compelling as Shakespeare on film and television.
