I have been involved with digital projects as a Co-PI for an IMLS National Leadership Grant in support of Tennessee’s statewide digitization program, as an evaluator of federal grant proposals, and as part of the digital initiatives team at Walker Library. We worked with MTSU history faculty and graduate students to develop local history digitization projects, and developed Shades of Gray and Blue (civilwarshades.org) in collaboration with Vanderbilt University's Heard Library and MTSU's Center for Historic Preservation. In addition to publishing articles about the digitization of cultural heritage materials, I was editor Microform & Digitization Review (formerly Microform & Imaging Review) from 2005-2012. My research interests include collaborative digitization and women's history.
