I'm a librarian who started my career at the dawning of the digital age for libraries (at Vanderbilt as it happens) and discovered my own enthusiasm for the new possibilities presented by automation. I'm approaching the end of my library career amazed at what my library offers to the students I work with, thanks to the head-spinning speed of development of online information resources. My goal is to substantially contribute to the formation of a long-term program for digital humanities and digital research on my campus before I leave. My technical skills are modest but I know how to organize people and point them in a good direction.
